Hi! I'm Theo, an illustration-based digital creator residing in Philadelphia.
My work encompasses a range of disciplines, most notably illustration, project management, print, and graphic design.
My print production journey started way back in 2015, at my first job in a stationery store in Larkspur, CA. I loved making big ideas come to life. This eventually led me to project management at a letterpress studio in San Francisco, where I oversaw custom letterpress projects and worked end-to-end on wedding invitations, event posters, branding packaging, and more.
In college, I led the style and arts section of Open Ceilings Magazine, a literary magazine produced by Mechanism Press in Davis. There, I received hands-on training with cover, layout, and branding design. As the Arts Director, I led the style and art direction for their Summer 2020 semi-annual literary publication. In tandem with my graphics cohort, we developed the graphic standard that the magazine still uses today. I had a hand in the final cover design and worked closely with artists for Q&A and feature articles that appear in the final edition.
During a program at UC Davis where I lived in Washington DC for the winter quarter, I worked for Rising for Justice as a marketing and design intern. As their sole design intern, I was crucial to the Social Media/Communications Department. I drafted and revised various social media campaigns (including our week-long DC Pro Bono campaign), wrote copy, copy-edited, and scheduled all of our social media posts. My role was necessary to enhance our online presence and increase accessibility for our legal services.
I'm more than happy to connect with emerging and established artists, and I'd love to take part in your next project! I can be reached at theohammond98@gmail.com.
Thank you!
